The Bookseller Announces Shortlist for IBS-Sponsored Supply Chain Initiative Category at the Retail Awards 2008

The Bookseller has announced the three companies that have been shortlisted to win the Supply Chain Initiative prize at the Retail Awards 2008. This category is being sponsored for the first time by IBS Bookmaster and recognises a product, service or integration initiative that has simplified and improved the supply chain to deliver tangible business benefits. The shortlist for the 2008 awards is Bertrams, The Book Depository and HarperCollins.

IBS VP of Publishing, Mike Irving, will announce the winner at the awards ceremony on Thursday 18th September and will deliver the coveted prize in front of hundreds of guests from the world of book publishing. He comments, “The supply chain is a vitally important area for publishers and is a key component for maintaining profitability in a very competitive business. Whoever wins this award will have had to have worked very hard to do so, as well as showing high levels of innovation.”
