Sir Mark Tully (Chief of Bureau, BBC New Delhi for 22 years, was made an Officer of The Order of the British Empire in 1985 and the Padma Shree in 1992 a rare exception for a non-Indian. In 2005 he received the Padma Bhushan Padma Bhushan. He is a regular television and radio presenter and author of many titles including India in Slow Motion).
