Dairy Fruit chooses IBS Enterprise

Press Release 2006-05-08

IBS has signed an agreement with the Danish food company, Dairy Fruit, a subsidiary in the Arla Foods Group. The contract means that Dairy Fruit will implement IBS Enterprise, including an industry-specific Food module. The order value amounts to about SEK 6 m and includes software, professional services, hardware and support.

“We chose IBS because we wanted a standardized software package with a good fit to our industry. With the rich standard functionality in IBS Enterprise combined with the specific capabilities tailored for the processing industry, we get a powerful solution that will enable us to improve our production and logistics as well as other supporting activities. The industry knowledge that IBS can offer was also a decisive factor for choosing IBS,” says Mogens Hede Jensen, Project Manager at Dairy Fruit.

Dairy Fruit is a producer and supplier of fruit preparation for dairy products, ice cream, desserts and confectionary for European customers. With high demands on quality control, Dairy Fruit needed an industry-specific yet standardized production and supply chain management software solution to secure efficiency and a competitive edge. The chosen solution, IBS Enterprise 6.0 with modules for distribution, warehousing, demand-driven manufacturing, and financials, will enable Dairy Fruit to increase efficiency by automating key business processes.

The new software system will go live 1 January 2007 at Dairy Fruits´ production facility in Odense.
