Competence development
IBS Global Education conducts global internal and external training for customers. Internal and external experts are retained and training is carried out in various forms. A major Nordic training project was launched in the second half of 2007 and will continue until mid-2008. The project will allow selected employees to undergo training in areas ranging from logistics and business plans to negotiation techniques. The venture is a pilot project that is planned to be developed and expanded in the IBS Group in the future.
Leadership, commitment and confidence
IBS conducts an annual employee survey upon which the company’s empowerment index is based. The survey, which is aimed at all employees worldwide, provides support for management and serves as a tool for improving the operation. In the survey, employees respond to questions pertaining to such issues as leadership, commitment, competence and responsibility. Based on the results of the survey, each unit is responsible for producing an action plan for the continued development and improvement of the operation. In 2007, the positive trend continued and the company’s empowerment index improved further. A comparison with other companies in the IT industry revealed that IBS results were well above average.
