With only a short time to go until BookExpo America (BEA), IBS Bookmaster is dusting itself down after the exertions of the London Book Fair and we are all set to have a similarly enjoyable and successful event. We are reaching out to publishers and distributors to inform them of how IBS Bookmaster can help them exploit the new opportunities that exist in terms of increasing revenues, market share, process efficiency and overall profitability as the industry continues to leap ahead.
A highlight for us is that our US Sales Director, Oliver Holden, is presenting on the Digital Zone Main Stage at 12.30pm on Tuesday 24th. The presentation is entitled Supply Chain Management in a Digital World and will offer insight into some of the big questions many publishers and distributors are asking as the rise of digital content continues apace.
Each day we will be repeating our ever-popular Whisky Flavour Mapping, giving visitors a chance to try the classic tastes of real Scottish single malts and identify their favourites. We will also be running our publishers survey and will be comparing these results with those we received at LBF. The stand will also have many of our leading sales people and product consultants on hand to tell you more about IBS Bookmaster and to answer any questions.
Ludo Hertroijs, global VP IBS Bookmaster, comments, “BEA is the ideal forum for us to talk about how the publishing market is dealing with global digitization. As a result, it is not just the supply chain and associated processes that are affected; the actual products they have been dealing with for decades have changed from being tangible to intangible and to a degree customer defined. This challenge is made even more complex by a dependency on external factors like the internet, wireless networking, device (standards) and mobile network carriers. As these changes are happening at a never before seen pace - most publishing companies will have to make decisions about their strategic future without having the luxury of time. IBS Bookmaster is helping publishers and distributors take advantage of these changes, today and in the future.”
