EXPERIENCED SYSTEM ENGINEERS
Key tasks
- Deliver expert advice – identifying solutions for our clients, driving better value out of client’s infrastructure environment and provide implementation execution and management
- Define, maintain and govern the technical system environment for a project or client (environment responsible)
- Understand the technology, vendors and industry in which our clients work
- Bridge the gap between IT and the business – having the ability to breakdown complex technology to a business audience
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other consultants
- Assist in developing proposals
- Manage over project progress including schedule, budget, deliverables, project repository
- The experienced system engineer works without systematic supervision
- Overall knowledge of the purpose of all infrastructure services within Iptor
- Sufficiently skilled to plan and give presentations within the range of competence
- Sufficiently skilled related to communications enabling the senior to engage in negotiations and other forms of more complex types of communications
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in IT or equivalent business experience
- Deep knowledge (4-6 years) in one or more following technology areas: IBM I, P and/or X series servers, data networking, SAN solutions, RISC and/or X86 architecture
- Preferable to have certifications in various Server and/or Microsoft technologies
- Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities and multiple customers
- Excellent problem solving skills, particularly with regard to anticipating and solving problems, issues or concerns before they occur or become critical
- Languages: Dutch, French, English. Any other language is an asset.
