Vergeer Holland had implemented Microsoft Dynamics Navision as its core ERP system in 2006, but had never been satisfied with the warehouse management capabilities of the system. They worked with a company to help develop and implement a WMS system to meet their needs, but found this increasingly difficult and abandoned the project. By 2010, it became clear that because of increased workload and growth within the company, Vergeer Holland needed to implement a more advanced WMS.
Ron Kortleve, Logistics Manager at Vergeer Holland explains, “Our warehousing and distribution requirements were becoming more complex and we were concerned that a lot of the crucial information we needed to manage the business effectively was held in the heads of a few people within the company. We needed to implement a solution that gave us better control of the warehousing operations, help lower stock and improve our sales forecasting. This meant finding a system that could integrate with our ERP and provide an immediate, off-the-shelf solution.”
Vergeer Holland selected IBS Dynaman and Ron Kortleve says why, “We are very confident that Dynaman and IBS have the best possible solution for our requirements. The project consultants at IBS are very knowledgeable and demonstrated an excellent understanding of our business requirements and objectives. IBS Dynaman is a comprehensive solution that we believe will deliver a rapid implementation and effective realization of key business benefits, including faster, more accurate order fulfillment, better customer satisfaction and more advanced, real-time reporting.”
IBS Dynaman is an advanced solution that supports shop-floor activities, both in the warehouse and in a production environment. It combines the functionalities of a typical WMS and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in one integrated, flexible software solution. IBS Dynaman can be deployed either as a stand-alone or bolt-on solution or integrated with IBS Enterprise or other ERP system, including Microsoft’s Navision. It can be configured to support single or multiple value add operations including post-production bespoken, assembly, sortation, packing or repacking, labeling, pricing, kitting, promotions, reworking, co-packing, and just about any other requirement to do with the warehouse.
Ian Walker, VP Sales for IBS, comments, “IBS Dynaman is winning out over the competition because we are able to demonstrate its ability to deliver core business benefits, including greater efficiencies and cost savings. Customers are also impressed with the seamless integration that Dynaman provides, which means it delivers real-time visibility through the warehouse and supply chain, enabling fast, accurate reporting and the ability to make better business management decisions.”
