Pre-Packaged and Pre-Configured

IBS Business Intelligence system is now pre-packaged with IBS Enterprise and is ready and available for all IBS Enterprise users.

IBS has invested heavily in its Business Intelligence system capability and is able to offer a pre-defined data warehouse which is on average an 80 percent fit with the requirements of an IBS Enterprise customer. A company trying to create a data warehouse from scratch would require several months to achieve what IBS can deliver within one week.

IBS Business Intelligence software provides an integrated data repository that supports business intelligence client tools, such as Cognos 8 BI, which is bundled with the IBS software. It allows users to access all business data, wherever it resides using published interfaces across transaction systems, relational and OLAP warehouses, and flat, legacy, and modern sources.

For example, purchase statistics data would include all relevant information regarding purchase values, discounts, dates, etc. In addition, external data can also be smoothly incorporated. Wide ranges of dimensions (or parameters, such as item, business partner, etc.) are included in the creation of the pre-defined business applications. Client applications can also be reconfigured to best suit specific planning and reporting needs, providing timely access to required information.

Totals shown in the client applications are the calculated metrics that provide measurements in the reports. The definitions and calculations of totals are carried out in the data warehouse system behind the application. The list of available totals, in both pre-loaded and configured applications, can be easily reached via the field list in the report tool. If additional totals are required, these can simply be created directly in the report tool.

Data can be delivered in a range of formats, including email, MS Excel, HTML, XML or PDF. The applications also include powerful formatting capabilities for charts or graphs, allowing information to be displayed in the most effective, straightforward and logical manner for all employees and decision makers.
