Runsven Gruppen chooses IBS

Press Release 2006-06-28

The retail group Runsven Gruppen which includes the ÖoB Överskottsbolaget stores, has chosen IBS Enterprise to enhance and increase efficiency in its logistics. The contract includes software, consulting services and hardware with a total value of SEK 9 million.

Runsven Gruppen owns and operates some of Sweden’s leading retail stores in the low-price segment with such brands as ÖoB Överskottsbolaget, Bonus, Storcks, Storckens and Engelbrektsboden with some 90 stores throughout Sweden. Runsven Gruppen with head offices in Skänninge has 1,500 employees with sales of about SEK 3 billion annually.

The contract will entail installation by IBS of a business system for processing orders, inventory and purchasing plus accounting to be integrated with the inventory management system Astro WMS from Consafe Logistics and with the existing store information system. The new business system will improve the flow of goods and increase administration efficiency from the central warehouse to the stores while supporting continued strong expansion over the coming years.

“Improved control and logistics are essential for a company that is expanding rapidly,” says Stefan Karlsson president of Runsven Gruppen AB.

“We are very proud to have received this contract from Runsven Gruppen. The contract strengthens our leasing position as a supplier of logistics solutions for handling large flows of goods within the retail sector,” says Anders Olsson, business area manager at IBS Sverige AB.
