Axel Christiernsson upgrades IBS ERP systemAxel Christiernsson, the leading lubricating grease manufacturer in Europe, has signed an agreement with ERP system supplier IBS to upgrade its business system. Axel Christiernsson’s factories in Sweden, the Netherlands and France will in the future have a common ERP system for procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and finance. The agreement is worth approximately SEK 3 m. Axel Christiernsson is a privately owned company that develops, manufactures and distributes lubricating greases and sells these with customized labels to customers with own brands within the lubrication industry. The company has been an IBS customer since the 1990s and is now upgrading their existing ERP system to make business run smoothly across the three factories. “We will streamline processes within the company so that all employees will have a common platform to work from,” says Niklas Pernvik, Key Account Manager at IBS. The factories in Sweden and the Netherlands, which have been using IBS ERP systems, will be the first sites to upgrade. During the second phase the factory in France, which today uses a system from another ERP provider, will transition to the common IBS Enterprise system. “We have positive experiences with IBS and their ERP system. An upgrade in Sweden and the Netherlands is therefore a natural step to take advantage of the improvements now included in IBS Enterprise. We bought the operations in France two years ago and now we get the opportunity to integrate that division into the same system,” says Johan Stureson, CEO of Axel Christiernsson International. Upgrades of the Swedish and Dutch installations are expected to be completed during spring 2009. The implementation in France will then follow.
