News & Events 2008-08-21

Frankfurt Book Fair 15-19 October 2008, Hall 8 – Stand L949

IBS has announced its attendance at the Frankfurt Book Fair, aiming to further build on the impact it has made on the European publishing industry. A regular attendee of the major European book fairs, IBS continues to show its commitment to the industry. As one of the only providers of an international business software solution fully dedicated to the specific requirements of publishers and book distributors, IBS will be demonstrating its unique capability to deliver fully integrated, multi-national solutions.

Mike Irving, VP Publishing for IBS, comments,

“Over the last year in particular, the publishing industry has really started to sit up and take note of the many technological changes that are affecting them. Digital content, digital rights, ebooks, ecommerce and many other important factors are driving the need for publishers and book distributors to look very closely at their IT capabilities and make sure they are capable of supporting a business that is becoming ever more complex and technically advanced. IBS Bookmaster is proving itself over and over again as a complete business management solution covering all the key requirements of the modern publishing industry. We will be using Frankfurt to showcase our successes and to launch the industry’s latest and most advanced publishing-specific software functionality.”

IBS will follow the same successful format that worked well at the London Book Fair and saw the stand buzzing with a mix of formal meetings, relaxed presentations and more social introductions. The company will also invite customers to the stand in order to talk with other companies about their experiences with IBS Bookmaster and how the software has helped to enhance the overall efficiency, productivity and profitability of their global businesses.

“Our core objective at Frankfurt is to continue to develop partnerships with publishers of all sizes around the world and to support this important industry event. As a company, we continue to make considerable investments in our software products to ensure they meet the rapidly developing demands of the industry and it is key that we communicate this well to the market. We invite attendees to join us on our stand, either for a meeting, to view an on-line demonstration, or simply to enjoy a Single Malt on us,”

concludes Mike Irving.
