IBS recently launched its new global Web site and invites customers, partners and prospects to have a look. Satu Rajamäki, IBS marketing communications manager, tells Business Advantage what’s new.

For many companies, the corporate Web site is like the main entrance to their home.
Thanks to the Internet, the way companies approach the purchase of major business software systems has been revolutionized. For many, the first step is to establish a list of potential vendors and visit their Web sites. According TEC, a web-based technology research enterprise, over 2.5 million readers visit its sites every month searching for new business systems.

All our marketing is focused on sending people to our Web site and this gives us a chance to make that vital positive first impression. After all, as a software company that prides itself on delivering user-friendly, highly functional business solutions, the quality and usability of the Web site is paramount.

We need to communicate instantly to visitors, who do not necessarily know IBS, our key strengths and capabilities – global coverage, key vertical markets and extensive product range. The new site is designed to show consistency across all our international sites, proving our position as a leading global software provider. However, this only covers the look and feel of the site: local countries have control over content, to focus on specific local issues, markets and products. The site also demonstrates our unique capabilities for specific industries. Scrolling images show the types of customers and solutions we have been working with for many years.

Easy access

We have put significant focus on the information delivered through the Web site. The home page itself has one-click access to a host of articles covering key technology areas, such as warehouse management, business intelligence and integration. We also make space for the latest news from the company with links to further information.

Of course, the site is not just for people who do not know IBS. We hope that customers and partners will take advantage of the huge amount of information, including marketing, technical and case studies, that is on the site. We will keep it right up to date with regular updates, and also welcome any comments and feedback from all our visitors.
