IBS announces continued development of IBS Bookmaster with launch of release 7.4News & Events 2007-10-09 Frankfurt Book Fair 2007: 10 - 14 October. Stand 4.0 G1315 and Hall 8.0 C942
At the Frankfurt Book Fair, IBS will be announcing the latest version of its market leading software solution for the publishing industry. IBS Bookmaster Release 7.4, scheduled for release in April 2008, builds on the existing functionality within the product and provides further key technology enhancements. These include greater centralisation, which allows companies to manage its customer and supplier databases in a single location, creating greater accuracy and efficiency throughout the system. The new system also includes a number of enhancements for international customers, particularly in Asia Pacific. Mike Irving, VP of Publishing for IBS, comments, “IBS Bookmaster is the most widely used publishing system in the world, with customers in 20 countries on five major continents. Key to our success is the sheer quality of the software solution and the fact that we are continually adding new functionality and services to ensure we provide the industry’s best possible solution. We integrate our internal knowledge and skills with the direct input of our customers. This ensures our standard solution fulfils the core requirements for as many publishers and book distributors as possible.” IBS Bookmaster caters for the special requirements of academic, trade, specialised, niche and subscriptions based publishers and distributors. It incorporates a variety of industry-specific modules and features required by many publishers, such as Royalties, Returns Management, Subscriptions, Editorial & Book Production, Campaign Management, Academic Sales, Title Management, Title Restrictions, dealing with buying groups and much more. In addition to the usual ERP functions, IBS Bookmaster also incorporates a range of fully integrated applications and functionality, including e-Commerce, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Advanced Warehouse Management and integrated Business Intelligence. This makes IBS Bookmaster the most comprehensive solution for a publisher’s needs from concept to consumer. Each of these solutions is part of the same IBS Bookmaster Enterprise Management system, and share a common database. This makes IBS Bookmaster significantly easier and more economical to implement and maintain than a solution composed of different elements from different sources, with different databases that have to be interfaced and maintained. Mike Irving concludes, “The latest version of IBS Bookmaster includes a number of enhancements that existing and potential customers will find hugely beneficial. The centralised contact system helps to improve the eCommerce elements of the system and also allows faster and more accurate updates. There is also significant improvement to the financial management element of the system, with increased flexibility for multi-invoice production, particularly beneficial for managing the recharges associated with employee expenses.” About IBS
