Woodway UK selects IBS Enterprise to assist rapid growthNews & Events 2007-04-26 IBS UK has announced that Woodway UK, a leading distributor of packaging goods and office supplies, is to implement the IBS Enterprise Release 6 integrated business system. Woodway UK has seen its business grow rapidly in recent years and the selection of IBS Enterprise will support this growth as well as assist the company with its plans for further expansion. Woodway UK is a family-owned business, founded in 1978. The company recently restructured to bring separate businesses under one holding company and this strategy has seen revenue grow several-fold. Woodway UK consists of Woodway Packaging, Woodway Office Supplies and Woodway interiors.
Martin Inwood, Joint Managing Director of Woodway UK, explains, “We wanted to become much more of a total solution provider to our customers. This means being able to supply a much wider range of packaging and office supply products quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively. The rapid success of this strategy has shown us that it works and we have further plans to continue our growth over the coming years. However, to support this we needed to re-evaluate our IT systems and we decided it was time to implement a world-class software system to meet our world-class services.”
After reviewing a number of systems, Woodway selected IBS Enterprise Release 6. “IBS has it all. It is a fully integrated system that has all the functionality and capabilities we need to meet our growing business requirements. From solid financial systems to accurate warehousing through to fast and efficient distribution and CRM. It also has specialist applications that allow EDI trading and detailed reporting. We also noted that the system is implemented by some of the world’s leading packaging and office supplies companies so we knew it had the ability to support, and actively encourage, our continued growth,” says Martin Inwood.
Woodway was particularly impressed with IBS NetStore, an e-business software solution for the effective selling, marketing and distribution of products over the Internet. “IBS NetStore will really help us meet our customer service objectives by giving our customers real-time access to information concerning stock availability, products, credit status and much more. It will also lower the cost of transactions considerably by letting customers take an active part in order handling and information providing,” he adds.
Martin Inwood concludes, “We are really excited by the selection of IBS and what it will do for our company. We believe it will play a major role in helping Woodway achieve its business objectives of becoming one of the UK’s leading providers of complete packaging and office supplies solutions. It has the flexibility, reliability and scalability to increase our efficiency, productivity and profitability now and well into the future. It also has specific functionality for the packaging and office supplies industry that will give us considerable competitive edge in the market.”
