The Inaugural Hino Trucks Global User ConferenceNews & Events 2006-11-02 Tuesday 17th October saw the opening of the inaugural IBS Automotive & Hino Trucks user conference – held at IBS House in Sydney, Australia.
IBS Automotive played host to Hino staff that use IBS Automotive’s world class automotive distribution ERP system, IDSe42. A number of senior Hino IT staff from Tokyo also attended.
The three day event provided a platform for IBS Automotive to provide product updates, reveal new processes and new technologies that will greatly assist Hino to take competitive advantage in the global truck market. In addition the conference allowed for a number of international workshops to assist IBS Automotive to fulfil Hino’s expanding requirements.
Hino provided key staff from Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australian operations and the conference was viewed by all to be a major success. For example, the new IBS Portal product presented to Hino was viewed as having the potential to increase truck sales.
Hino Global Account Manager, James Dawson, commented: “The conference was very productive both from the standpoint that it assisted us to better understand Hino’s needs; build further on our current relationship with Hino as well as be part of fostering a new community within the global Hino group”.

Similar conferences will be held annually and the attendees will likely grow to include Hino staff from the USA, Canada, Pakistan and Vietnam.
