French veterinary distributor Alcyon signs with IBSNews & Events 2006-04-26 IBS Enterprise 6.0 will optimize sales management and purchasing for Alcyon, while IBS Integrator will benefit the company with system integration and communications. IBS, world-leading provider of total business solutions, announced that France’s central distributor of veterinarian products has selected IBS Enterprise 6.0 ERP software. Alcyon, the leader in the three largest sectors of veterinarian distribution in France, has a primary goal of using the IBS solution to centralize its sales and purchase management.
Alcyon is a multi-site company with locations in Arras, Landerneau, Lyon and Pau and distributes veterinary medicines, supplies and food. In order to harmonize sales management and purchasing for its four sites, Alcyon chose IBS Enterprise 6.0 for its performance and reliability. The agreement also includes IBS Integrator, a software-server solution that helps businesses integrate applications, databases and processes over a wide range of systems and platforms.

IBS Enterprise 6.0 is designed to meet the needs of veterinary distribution by:
Handling specific rules and regulations for veterinary distribution, such as required stock amounts for products
Handling speculative purchasing to allow optimal procurement according to specific discounts
Optimizing order entry, thanks to proactive, demand-driven ordering based on customer history.
IBS Integrator
With the EAI solution IBS Integrator, Alcyon will merge all existing systems within each Alcyon entity. IBS Enterprise 6.0 will be able to communicate with all the internal tools for ordering used by veterinarians via a mobile application.
The Alcyon-IBS project is planned to go live in January 2007.
