IBS signs with Isku Group for ASP systemNews & Events 2005-08-18 New ASP system for Finnish furniture manufacturers
IBS has signed an agreement with the Finnish Isku Group for hosting the ASW system as an Application Service Provider (ASP) solution. Isku is one of the leading furniture manufacturers in Europe, and the system will be used by its Estonian subsidiary Kose AS.
The agreement covers all the most important areas of enterprise resource planning, from financial management and sales and materials management to production control and reporting.
The Isku Group decided on the ASP model due to the need for changes at Kose.
“We looked for scalability, in particular, in order to be able to respond to changing needs for years to come. Our subsidiary Kose aims at building its business vigorously, so the software must be flexible even in the future,” says Pekka Kairtamo, Isku Invest Oy’s CFO, on why they decided to engage IBS as their ASP.
According to IBS sales manager Kati Pyykkö, IBS’ ASP service selected by Kose is a more cost-effective solution compared to traditional ERPs for a company that is under considerable pressure to change.
“Investing in their own ERP system would have been an expensive solution, since at this stage it is difficult for Kose to evaluate and estimate the scope of its business and system requirements in five years. Our scalable ASP solution meets Kose’s needs even in the future, as the system grows with the company’s business,” Pyykkö summarises.
Kose AS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Isku Teollisuus Oy, which is part of the Isku Group. The company manufactures furniture for the Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and Baltic markets.
