IBS software part of Bullivants’ strategy to lift its business higher

News & Events 2004-09-03

Australia’s largest supplier of lifting and rigging products has chosen IBS’ ASW supply chain management software to streamline its business processes, optimise inventory management and deliver improved service to its customers.

With over 10,000 products and a client base consisting of some of the world’s largest mining, manufacturing and construction companies, Bullivants is Australia’s largest stockist of lifting, rigging and specialist safety equipment, and the clear market leader.

Bullivants had been running an older version of ASW which was first implemented in 1999. Over the course of 5 years though ASW has undergone considerable development, and this meant that Bullivants’ system had become outdated in terms of software updates and maintenance, and needed to be re-aligned with Bullivants’ progressing business needs and processes. This prompted a review and resulted in Bullivants’ management deciding to revitalise their supply chain management system and take advantage of advanced software functionality by implementing the latest release ASW 5.50.

The Bullivants solution Bullivants will upgrade to a fully integrated supply chain solution comprising ASW Distribution, Financials, Manufacturing (incl. MRP), Warehouse Management, Inventory Control, Alert Management and Analyser for business intelligence/reporting. Also included are IBS’ CRM application, ASW Sales and Marketing, and ASW Service which are expected to give Bullivants’ technical and sales reps easy access to relevant information needed to provide a higher level of customer service.

The ASW solution will be deployed across Bullivants’ 17 branches around Australia, and will have a total of 100-plus licensed users.

Project goals Benefits anticipated from Bullivants’ new ASW system include:

Streamlined and standardised processes across all Bullivants sites, making it easier to conduct business High degree of data integrity and accuracy across all operations Optimised inventory management Improved ease and accuracy of business analysis and reporting Overall improvements to productivity and customer service “We are pleased to be working with a professional team at IBS to help us utilise the ASW software solution to lift our service offering to our customers,” said Greg McDonell, Managing Director, Bullivants.

Commenting on the deal, Staffan Wensing, Managing Director, IBS Australia said, “We are pleased to expand our relationship with Bullivants through this project, and excited about the prospect of developing them into a satisfied reference customer in the industrial equipment vertical. I am confident that the synergy between our teams and the deployment of standard ASW will ensure a smooth implementation and a secure future upgrade path for Bullivants.”
