ISV Partner of the YearNews & Events Avnet Partner Solutions acknowledges TMS’ contribution the publishing industry as well as its strong presence within consumer goods distribution. September 03: Avnet Partner Solutions, a division of Avnet Inc, a US $8.9 billion company with offices in Australia recently presented TMS Tailor Made Systems, with the ISV Partner of the Year award for 2003.
“The award was driven by two factors, hardware distribution and the strength of TMS business applications,” said Ivan Hecimovic, Senior Sales Executive, Avnet Partner Solutions.
“TMS is seen by Avnet Partner Solutions as a key business partner, not only because of the large amount of IBM hardware that they have sold, but also because of their leading edge industry applications that add value to key organisations. Their latest deal with Penguin Australia for TMS’ Bookmaster ERP software solution (which replaced Vista) is clear evidence of this”, noted Hecimovic.
“More importantly, this award acknowledges the contribution TMS has made as the leading supplier of software solutions to the publishing industry as well as its strong presence within consumer goods distribution,” Mr Hecimovic added.
Avnet has two core divisions, electronic components and computer marketing the latter providing hardware support for TMS from its Avnet Partner Solutions division. Combined, Avnet is one of IBM’s largest customers and business partners. In Australia, Avnet Partner Solutions is the only IBM value added distributor for IBM hardware and software.
The ISV Partner of the year Award has also led to discussions on how to further strengthen the partnership between TMS and this leading worldwide distributor of enterprise computing products. This will allow TMS to concentrate on its core strengths i.e., software development of innovative business applications within its niche markets.
