IBS signs deal with Kinepolis Group

BS has signed an agreement with The Kinepolis Group regarding ASW Financials. The solution will be implemented during 2003 with the aim of standardising operations and procedures and to improve national and international reporting.

The Kinepolis Group owns the majority of Belgian cinemas and has received international recognition for their innovation and creative achievements in the film industry. The group is also active in France, Spain, Poland, Switzerland and Italy. The steady growth of the group has lead to the increased need for an integrated accountancy system.

Besides the standardisation of all operations and procedures throughout their organisation, the most urgent need was to simplify and accelerate national and international reporting. In addition, they required a solution that could be linked to their existing core application and various subsystems.

A detailed preliminary study determined that IBS’ ASW software provided a solution to each of their issues and fulfilled Kinepolis Group’s needs beyond expectation.

IBS will not only implement its accountancy and reporting solution, but will also help the Kinepolis Group optimise their purchase procedures.

During the first half of 2003, ASW will be implemented in 9 Belgian cinemas and 4 other Kinepolis Group companies. Offices in France and Spain will follow suit in the second half of the year, which will also see the internal Food & Beverage Organisation becoming fully automated and integrated to the system.

The entire ASW software installation will be hosted on a central IBM iSeries server, new to the Kinepolis Group. The iSeries boasts substantial stability and requires little maintenance, while offering easy integration with the current servers in the group’s network.
