News & Events 2003-03-06

More exhibition space to present ERP solution — New releases of ASW business software and IBS Pharma to be presented at CeBIT 2003, Hanover, March 12 - 19, Hall 5, Stand C 48.

IBS, one of the world's top ten providers of commercial software systems, will present its business software solutions at this year's CeBIT. The presentation will showcase ASW business software (including IBS Portal for the first time), its industry-specific software package, IBS Pharma, and its collaborative business solution IBS Virtual Enterprise. Contrary to the overall market trend, and in response to previous year’s crowd interest, IBS has increased their exhibition space by about 40 %.

New release ASW 5.0 Release 5.0 boasts a wide range of new functionality, especially in the areas of SCM, e-business, CRM, Financials and Logistics. The new role-based solution, IBS Portal, includes bundled Internet access. As with the ASW Customer Management Console - which offers a single view for customer-related data - IBS Portal gives users direct access to the data and applications that they require, within the same panel.

Other functional highlights of ASW 5.0 are online calculation of Return on Investment (ROI) based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI), centralised procurement conditions for subsidiaries and enhanced graphical planning tools. ASW Corporate Data Maintenance offers improved cross-company data warehousing and analysis abilities.

IBS Pharma 5.0 debuts IBS Pharma release 5.0 includes all the powerful processes and improvements of ASW. Based on IBS’ proven supply chain management applications, this complete solution supports purchase, warehouse, logistics and sales functions, with a special focus on the distribution of pharmaceutical, generic and other medical products.

Recent improvements include enhanced capabilities for logistics providers and re-importing merchants in the pharmaceutical area, as well as activity-based pricing, optimisation of route handling, integrated scanning for product numbers, sophisticated route processing and an enhancement of pricing and discount methods.

Collaborative business with IBS Virtual Enterprise IBS Virtual Enterprise is a robust application that allows you to establish a collaborative supply chain via the Internet. The system supports the integration of an unlimited number of companies, customers, suppliers, portals and business partners and can help you achieve Enterprise Application Integration (EAI).

Based on IBM WebSphere Business Components, the application can be run on several platforms and can be completely integrated with ASW software or other ERP systems. The solution is especially designed for companies that want to be able to take advantage of the increased possibilities offered by the new digital economy in collaborating electronically, across legal entities and national borders.
