Because of the ability to completely track and classify our products in the ERP system, we have far greater order status visibility.
All of the 40,000 items stocked in our three distribution centers have been integrated into the new IBS pharmaceutical ERP system, and a warehouse concept based on optimum stock levels has replaced the one based on minimum stock levels.

The main reason we chose IBS was due to the application’s origin in logistics and distribution. This is different from IBS’ competitors, who have solutions geared more towards manufacturing and production businesses. But the IBS solution has excellent distribution applications. That made it easy to choose. In fact, the pharma portion of the software was an added benefit.
I like the fact that now we have a single user interface. It’s easier to teach new operators how to use the system with one-single software and one-graphic user interface.
IBSUS played a key role in a big Nelson EDI project; they provided us with excellent analytical and programming skills to add flawless automation between our BPCS ERP system and Radley’s iCARaS software. And they were quick, reliable, and reasonable…A great team to work with!
Our old IT environment had too many separate software systems, and there was no upgrading possible. We had too many interfaces among the many variants of existing software. But these problems are now solved with IBS software. The quantity of different software has been reduced. We now have single-packet solutions as well as real-time visibility to and synchronization of key business documents and supply chain data, such as vendor and customer information, pricing, inventory, orders, returns and contracts.
We have been using IBS Dynaman since 2005 and its advanced capabilities helped us optimize our San Salvo distribution center leading to improved customer service.
Pharmacies are Oriola’s largest customer bases, in terms of order lines. We compete by trying to get the distribution task for pharmaceutical companies. But of course, there are other benefits received with an integrated system. It is simpler, you are not so dependent on one or two key persons, the organization works better together, it is more convenient – you don’t have to involve all departments. And it makes it possible to introduce new ways of doing things across different functions.
The business we do today would be impossible without an effective warehouse management system. The solution we received from IBS was the missing link for efficient operations.
The new system works well and it is nice to know that we have a pro-active supervising function for orders and picking interfaces. IBS is supervising it 24 hours a day and actively 12 hours a day.
The recent BPCS work completed by IBS was the most satisfying consulting project I have been involved with over my 20 year career, some of that having been a consultant myself. Hugh Carty and Luis Diaz are both very competent and efficient technically but also, importantly, respectful and courteous to all employees with whom they worked. They are what a consultant should be. Should the need arise again we will certainly hope to obtain their services.
